Stan moved into Rock N Roll with a midwest basement band through the high school playing top 40 hits such as surf music, and Beatles songs (whom he also saw perform live.) His groups such as The Calvadas, Wheat, Thumbs Down all made for a successful high school experience.

Fast forward to the 1970's, Stan embarked on the solo singer/songwriter path in Colorado. Along with the return to acoustic guitar, Stan took up playing the Flute as a second instrument. The studio demo recordings, the showcases, TV performances, and countless barroom gigs only resulted in frustration for Stan. "I couldn’t handle the rejection and I hated playing and living in Bars" remarks Stan about his decision to temporarily leave music professionally.

The 1980's brought Stan off the shelf when he began playing once again solo acoustic gigs in Santa Barbara. It was Richard Moore of the Trogg's (Wild Thing you Make My Heart Sing) who asked Stan to join his rock band the Jackalopes. This time only for fun, Stan played Rock N Roll once again in local bars.

Today Stan is still playing rock with a garage band in Santa Barbara and also plays acoustic guitar, sings and jams with friends every chance he gets. "It's all about having fun now."
